If you get accounts to the free FamilySearch and $9.95-per-month MyHeritage, you can get help with your research. It's easy to use, but on its own, it's just a family tree creator. Unlike many genealogy programs, RootsMagic ($29.95) is Mac-compatible. RootsMagic 7 is just one of many genealogy programs competing with industry leader Ancestry.
